BUTOH  “Ripping my body open in search of my soul” (Fabio Keiner) Butoh is a form of Japanese dance theatre that encompasses a diverse range of activities, techniques and motivations for dance, performance, or movement. This expressive and fascinating form of modern dance appeared in Japan post-World War II in 1959. Founders are Tatsumi Hijikata and Kazuo Ohno. The naked and white painted body forms an important element in Butoh. For more Butoh pictures see HERE and at my special  nude art website With thanks to butoh dancers Christina Naked, Honza,  Margôt, Muriëlle, Sakurako San
